Fred A. Cohen has been an attorney in Maryland for more than 25 years, handling hundreds of divorces and family law matters. Fred Cohen received his J.D. with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1985. He earned his B.S. in chemistry from the University of Maryland College Park in 1982.
Admitted to the Maryland Bar and Court of Appeals in 1985, Mr. Cohen was subsequently admitted to the U.S. District Court, District of Maryland in 1986 and the Trial Bar in 1988. He was admitted to the U.S. Court of Federal Claims in 1992; the U.S. Court of Appeals, 4th Circuit in 1989; and the Federal Court in 1994. He is a member of the Baltimore County Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association.
Mr. Cohen is married with three grown daughters. He is an ardent supporter of all University of Maryland Terrapins sports teams and a former member of the Board of Governors of the University of Maryland Alumni Association. His hobbies include spending time with his family, playing golf and watching sports.
